Data Capture Technician
Mallon is seeking a detail–oriented Data Capture Technician to support a public sector digitisation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high–quality digital images of historical documents, following specified procedures, and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality throughout.
This role is offered on a fixed–term contract of one year, with the potential for renewal or extension depending on company needs and individual performance. It includes a six–month probationary period.

Working with the existing team your responsibilities will include:
- Digitisation of various document types using flatbed, overhead, and large–format scanners
- Performance of quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Re–filing documents and assisting Archivists as required
- Complying with confidentiality and data security policies
- Adhering to Quality and Information Security Management Systems
Working Hours
The working hours are 30 hours per week. Working hours are between 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Friday
Location
The main office location is in Rathmines, Dublin and is an on–site position.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent digital and IT skills (Microsoft Office suite essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable handling delicate or oversized historical materials
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience work with historical documents or scanning equipment
- Familiarity with digital archiving or data capture processes
Security Clearance
