AGI GeoCommunity 2013

On 18th September Sean Cleary attended the AGI GeoCommunity 2013 conference in Nottingham. AGI GeoCommunity is the largest independent conference in the UK digital mapping and data calendar. The conference provides tangible insight and leadership in current geographic information and location based issues via a range of keynote addresses and conference papers, a showcase exhibition, as well as by hands on training and face to face delegate networking. Sean not only attended the conference but was also speaking at it. He delivered a presentation on Opensource GIS Software, the Promise and the Pitfalls. His presentation was very well received and the event provided a great opportunity to meet and network with key practitioners across government and commercial sectors, as well as providing a chance to discuss and develop new ideas and insights in the geographic information sector.
