We are proud to announce that Mallon has achieved ISO 14001 accreditation, marking a significant milestone in our sustainability journey and reinforcing our long–term commitment to responsible business practices.
This internationally recognised standard demonstrates that our Environmental Management System (EMS) meets the rigorous requirements of ISO 14001, the global benchmark for effective environmental management.
“I am delighted to share that we have successfully achieved International Organisation for Standardisation ISO 14001 certification. This is an important milestone for our organisation and reflects the commitment, discipline, and collective effort demonstrated across our teams in strengthening our Environmental Management System and embedding responsible practices into our daily operations.
I would also like to formally recognise Andrew Bennett, who will serve as our EMS Champion. In this role, he will lead the overall effectiveness and continual improvement of our Environmental Management System, ensuring we maintain momentum and continue to build on this achievement.
Thank you to everyone for your ongoing dedication and support in helping us reach this significant milestone.” – Marion Murphy, Managing Director
A Structured Approach to Sustainability
Achieving ISO 14001 means that we now have a fully audited and independently verified framework in place to:
- Identify and manage our environmental impacts
- Reduce waste and improve resource efficiency
- Strengthen compliance and risk management
- Embed continuous environmental improvements across the organisation
This accreditation formalises what has long been part of our culture, operating responsibly, thinking long–term, and ensuring our growth is aligned with environmental stewardship.
Supporting Our Net Zero 2040 Commitment
In 2023, we set an ambitious target: to reach Net Zero by 2040.
ISO 14001 provides the structured governance and accountability needed to turn that ambition into measurable progress. It enables us to:
- Monitor and reduce our operational emissions
- Improve energy efficiency in our office building
- Strengthen our supply chain sustainability practices
- Track, review and refine our environmental objectives year–on–year
By embedding environmental responsibility into our management systems, we ensure that sustainability is not a standalone initiative — it is integrated into how we operate, deliver and innovate.
Enabling Sustainable Digital Transformation
As a provider of software, GIS, Geospatial and digital solutions to local authorities and public sector organisations, we recognise that digital transformation and sustainability go hand in hand.
Our technology helps organisations streamline processes, reduce reliance on paper, optimise operations, and make smarter, data–driven decisions. Achieving ISO 14001 reinforces our commitment to delivering solutions that not only drive efficiency but also contribute to environmental responsibility.
A Collective Achievement
This accreditation reflects the dedication of our entire team. Achieving ISO 14001 required collaboration across departments, careful planning, robust documentation, and a shared commitment to improving how we manage our environmental impact.
ISO 14001 is built on continual improvement, and we will continue to evolve our environmental practices, measure our progress, and hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards.
Looking Ahead
Sustainability is a journey, not a milestone. Achieving ISO 14001 strengthens the foundations of our Net Zero pathway and demonstrates to our clients, partners and stakeholders that we are serious about responsible growth.
We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue to innovate, support our customers, and deliver technology that makes a positive difference — environmentally, socially and economically.
