Significant Investment set to Improve Book Scanning Services

Mallon Technology is excited to confirm that we have recently completed an investment in our Document Capture department with the purchase of new scanning equipment!

The investment of over £20k signifies the company’s commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality service delivery and to maintain our status as an industry leading supplier of document capture services.

The Book Scanner

The new scanner is capable of digitising large–size documents and maps but its ability to seamlessly digitise historical books that really sets it apart from older equipment and technology. The scanner is specially designed with low–level light emission to protect books throughout the digitisation process and with scans taking less than a second to capture, books will be captured quicker than ever, helping to further preserve them and their historical contents.

By speeding up the scanning process, the new scanner allows for extra capacity to be handled by our document capture team, meaning we can not only complete existing contracts quickly but also service new clients. As well as this, its new intuitive operating system has a built–in monitor control to ensure the best results possible, significantly improving the quality of images for our customers.

Speaking about the scanner, Services and Project Manager, Ruth O’Kane who’s team will be leading the use of the new equipment stated “Our new state of the art book scanner provides our customers with the best in technology, helping to improve our service delivery and ultimately protect and preserve the books and collections that form an invaluable part of our shared history”.
