With Christmas almost upon us, staff across Mallon Technology have been getting in the festive spirit and helping to spread the festive cheer by taking part in Christmas Jumper Day 2018.
The annual event championed by Save the Children, is an opportunity for everyone to get together and help to make the world better by wearing a sweater. Save the Children works tirelessly across the globe, running world class programmes that save lives and help to give forgotten children around the world a brighter future.
This year, staff across all of Mallon Technology’s teams & locations got into the spirit of the campaign by wearing their best Christmas Jumpers into work. With the Christmas music blaring out & plenty of chocolate treats the teams were more than happy to show off their range of jumpers. The jumpers this year were adorned with everything from Santa, Rudolph, Christmas Trees, Robins, Elves and even Star Wars characters!
Thanks to the generosity of our colleagues, the company managed to raise an outstanding €348.69.
The money raised by the teams at Mallon Technology will be used to help children around the world in a number of different ways, with:
- £16 equipping a midwife in Afghanistan with a birthing kit
- £55 providing a bicycle for a health worker in Tanzania
- £100 stocking a school library in Rwanda with 75 new books
- £200 paying for a child to attend primary school in Uganda for 1 year
