Mallon Technology Staff Helping to Spread some Christmas Cheer

Throughout the course of this year, staff based at our Head Office in Cookstown have held a monthly Casual Friday event in an effort to raise money for a local charity.

Thanks to the generosity of staff in the Cookstown office, who paid to wear their own casual clothes into work, the team were able to raise a fantastic £300. The Cookstown team have been taking part in Casual Friday since the start of the year on the last Friday of every month. It has been very well supported by the entire team and has helped to foster a community spirit across different departments whilst also creating a positive feel good factor on a Friday, ahead of the weekend.

The money raised by the team this year has been donated to the The Hub BT80. The Hub is a community centre for all people of Cookstown and the surrounding district. Specifically, the money raised by the Cookstown team will be going towards The Hub’s Christmas Day Lunch. Christmas Day can be a dark, cold and lonely place for some people in the local community but The Hub’s Christmas Day Lunch helps to make Christmas Day special for everyone in the community.

A big thanks to everyone who took part in Casual Friday throughout the year and who got involved with the spirit of the occasion. As a result of their efforts, they will be able to spread some much needed Christmas Cheer to some of the loneliest and vulnerable people in the local community this Christmas. We wish everyone attending The Hub’s Christmas Day Lunch a very Merry Christmas.
