Getting Started with Sentinel–2 Webinar

Mallon Technology is excited to announce that we will be hosting our first ever Webinar to coincide with Irish Space Week and World Space Week, titled Getting Started with Sentinel–2!

Taking place on Wednesday 5th October at 14.30 (BST), the webinar will explore the use of Sentinel–2 data and how you can utilise this to improve your daily work processes.

What is Sentinel–2

Sentinel–2 forms part of the European Space Agency’s fleet of satellites, designed to capture data and imagery as part of a unique environmental monitoring programme that aims to improve the way we manage our environment, understand and tackle climate change and safeguard everyday lives.

Using Sentinel–2 Data

Making the most of Sentinel–2 data and imagery is nothing new to us! Our Remote Sensing services are provided by a highly experienced team of Remote Sensing professionals who work with a wide range of different imagery types and datasets, providing insights that help our clients to make informed strategic decisions.

Our aim of hosting this Sentinel–2 webinar is to enable those who depend on the visualisation of geospatial data, to gain a greater understanding of the availability of Senitnel–2 data, its applications and how you can utilise it. Specifically the webinar will cover:

    • Overview of Sentinel programmes
    • What is Sentinel–2
    • Who owns it
    • Satellite revisit times
    • What are its typical applications
    • How to detect and compare change
    • How to present data using Azimap with a Sentinel–2 base map

If you would like to join us on the day as we explore Sentinel–2, make sure to secure your place by Registering for the event!
