The annual GeoDATA 2012 event was held on 1st May in Croke Park. Attended by Mallon Technology’s Marion Murphy and Niamh O’Keeffe, the event brings together leading geospatial professionals to share invaluable advice on how to think smarter and do more with geographic information.
The seminar explored innovative, new ideas to increase business efficiencies and allowed for networking with counterparts in other organisations.
Presentations and case studies illustrated innovative ways to manage, maintain and maximise geospatial investments. The final presentation of the day by the Central Statistics Office: Census 2011 Geography and Outputs was of particular interest, specifically the small area profiles and the newly available place of school data due for publication in June 2012 providing a great resource for analysis of commuting and day time working populations.
For those who missed the opportunity to attend, upcoming GeoData seminar dates include:
Glasgow – 6th November 2012
Bristol – 8th November 2012
Belfast – 15th November 2012
