Getting in to the spirit of the Great British Bake Off final, staff from our Cookstown team proved that they to could rise to the occasion by hosting a Bake Sale for our nominated charity MapAction.
Seven members of the team produced an impressive spread of mouthwatering treats for sale, including brownies, fudge, fairy cakes, banana bread, marshmallow truffles, apple tarts, cookies & fifteens as well as a show stopping Victoria sponge cake. As you can see in the pictures below, all the bakers did a fantastic job to produce the amount that they did.
Once the sale started the treats didn’t last long! All the bakes proved too big a draw for our cookstown team with everything quickly disappearing, leaving the team stuffed and unable to move too far for the rest of the day. However, thanks to all the bakers a fantastic £211 was raised on the day. This amount has generously been matched by Mallon Technology making a grand total of £422.
A huge congratulations must be given to all the bakers who put in a tremendous effort into their bakes and a thank you to the generousity of the Cookstown team in helping to raise so much money.
Additionally on the day, in true Bake Off style there was also a contest to crown our own Mallon Technology Star Baker. Voting took place after the sale with the team collectively deciding who produced the best bakes. So Congratulations to Andrew Bennett who for this year at least has been crowned Mallon Technology Star Baker!
