Mallon Technology successfully developed and integrated a system for the Irish Government (LPIS) and against strong international competition was awarded the subsequent Finnish LPIS project.  The project also involved the scoping, specification, design, development and integration of a land information system and the data capture of all spatial data and associated alphanumeric data. The system stored and located over 140,000 farmers addresses, 1.2m land parcels, with 12m rows, 14 gigabytes of information and served approximately 250 users. To facilitate the management of the project ,Mallon Technology established a data capture facility in Finland.

Benefits 
The digitised land parcels were used by the Ministry of Forestry and Agriculture to administer CAP payments quickly and efficiently while ensuring all payments were correct and complied with EU regulations.
