In the NI Housing Executive contract, Mallon Technology were contracted to update the NIHE’s land terrier system for the years 2007-2010. This entailed the scanning of all deeds records, data capture of attribute information (9 fields by manual entry), the geo-location of the deed map in ARCGIS and the placement of a site boundary for each deed. This data was delivered to the NIHE on a regular basis for upload into their system. Deliveries and collections were made to and from numerous NIHE offices throughout Northern Ireland.
Each deeds file was a one-of-a-kind original proving the ownership of NIHE land holdings and great care was taken to ensure that no stress was put on the documentation while it was processed by us at our offices.
Benefits
The project resulted in the creation of an up-to-date land terrier allowing for the rollout of the updated system across the NIHE network. In addition to leading to internal efficiency gains within the NIHE, all gaps in historical data were filled leaving a complete dataset.
