Mallon Technology won the contract to data capture planning files for the Planning Department of Wexford County & Town Council. The project, undertaken in our head office in Cookstown, consisted of the collection, capture and return of approximately 3,500 planning files on a weekly basis.
The project commenced in October 2009 and entailed the collection of all current planning applications from the Borough and County Councils, the number of which varied from week to week. Each file was captured and individually classified into its applicable doc type (90+ variations in doc type). Upon batch completion the files were uploaded to secure FTP for download and import into the Council’s DMS. We set a turnaround of 2 days from receipt of the files to their return to the Council digitally.
