In 2006, Mallon Technology was awarded the contract to GIS data capture a decade of the Councils planning applications. The planning site polygons and centroid points were digitised using OSi large-scale vectors. Planning site boundaries were cloned from the large-scale vectors to represent the building site extents.
Benefits
After the project was completed the council was able to easily retrieve data and generate reports and statistics to aid decision making.
