Down District Council

This project involved the provision of on- and off-site scanning services for Down District Council. A total of 5,500 planning/building control files were captured for import into WIZARD. These varied in size and due to the quality of the hardcopy documents required specialist attention. Attention to quality was of the utmost importance as the original paper files were later destroyed.
Benefits
The capture of their planning/building control files allowed Down District Council the option to destroy the hard copies, freeing up expensive office space. The files were imported to a document management system with allowed staff to quickly and easily retrieve the files they required.
